Match report Clash of the top two, Barnsley had suffered a shock defeat a couple of weeks prior to this match and allowed Broddy 2nds to leapfrog them back into top spot.
The match was ill tempered as the Barnsley captain Beck moaned a whinged all the way through the match, even refusing to shake hands with the Broddy players after the match in which Broddy got the losing draw needed thanks mainly to Richard Hull batting almost throughout the overs to all but win the division. Even Barnsley playing 1st/2nd team batsman Holmes who got 111 runs failed to get them the win they needed, and it was followed by a massive row both at the ground and on the on line forum about the attitude of the Barnsley captain.
