Match was Abandoned due to torrential rain

Match report Knottingley came with the big 'I am' attitude as they are a division above Brodsworth and pushing for promotion, but they got their arses well and truly kicked. After constantly gobbing off while we batted, so much so even the normally mild mannered David Merryweather came off steaming, they surrended quietly as Simon and Joe ripped through them, only mardy get Gordon Davis still mouthing away and squaring up to Nigel 'Rocky' Gostling as he relunctantly left the field after Mick Rog Snr took an outrageous one handed catch at slip to send him back. Even then he wouldn't walk and had to be given out as he couldn't believe it had been caught!
With them staring down the barrel of an embarrassing defeat the heavens opened and saved them, one of the umpires seemingly not interested in giving the pitch time to dry, and the match was abandoned as we hadn't bowled the requisit minimum of 20 overs to force a result.
So it's a replay next week at Broddy, the irony being about 45 minutes after the abandonment the pitch was perfectly playable.
