Saturday - All 3 teams were beaten.The 1st XI chased 200+ against Sykehouse and were bowled out for 150.
The 2nd XI suffered a heavy defeat at Knottingley.
The 3rds continued on the upward curve and are now competetive. Suffering a defeat nevertheless to top of table Sheffield Utd.
Josh Rutherford continues to star with the ball.
Sunday - despite a below strength side without BIG AL, Brad, Hos and Sean Husband and including 4 juniors and a hasbeen (Goose) and a neverhasbeen (Yours Truly) we pulled off a good win against Rotherham Pheonix. Rothereham batted 1st and got off to a flyer but a 5 fer from Simon Oldham and some good bowling from the juniors kept them to a steady 154.
A slow grind from Mase and Goose then Hully st it up nicely for Bernie Burns and Maddo to smash us close. Young Belly replaced Maddo and a couple of nice cover drives later we reached the total with 5 overs to spare.
A ggo win which keeps the Sunday side in the hunt! Just!
