Brodsworth Main Cricket Club

Saturday was a half decent day. The 1stX1 away at Ackworth posted a score over 200 and had Ackworth 170 for 7 at the end. A good effort with bat from 'Reg' Drury and Hully. Another good show from junior player Maddo a quick fire 20 odd then a three for!!
The 2nd XI managed a win at home to Fairburn. A low scoring affair. The 2nds scoring 110 all out. At one point Fairburn were 38 for 8 but managed to get within 5 runs of our target. Squeeky bum time!  But a wins a win and that stops the rot.
The 3rd XI continued there improved shows for the 4th consequetive match they post a score of over 100. Junior player Andy Abbott (Dingle) 25 not out and they took Brookhouse to the last wicket before having to accept defeat. Losing by one wicket.
Sunday was a complete washout. We managed to put two sides out and ended up playing neither game because of rain.!!
